Kayla France is the Program Manager of Weatherization at Open Door Community Action, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting low-income families. In this role, she helps house-holds lower utility costs by providing energy-saving improvements that make homes more efficient and comfortable. Before stepping into this position, Kayla built a diverse background in construction, art, design, and retail sales – experiences that give her a creative, practical and people-centered approach to her work. Growing up on a farm in rural Virginia taught her the value of hard work, resourcefulness, and determination, qualities she brings to her role every day. Since joining the program six months ago, Kayla has been passionate about making a tangible difference in her community, helping families save money while also contributing to sustainability efforts.
