Sandra Corell joined the AECP board in November 2024. She began working at Clinch Valley Community Action, Inc. in October 2000. After a short period of time in the CVCA Finance Department, she worked with Doug Sheets in the Weatherization Department. In 2009, she became the Director of Section 8 Housing, managing two counties and 392 vouchers. In 2019, her position grew into that of the agency Housing Director; in this role, she manages Section 8 Housing, Weatherization, the Rental Prevention Program, APCO, and assists with agency IT services.
Sandra is a member of Thompson Valley Evangelical Presbyterian Church which she has attended since she was a toddler. She has a daughter; she and her husband have one child which Sandra tries to spend as much time with as possible. Sandra and her family live on a farm in Tazewell County which has been handed down for multiple generations. Her family raises beef cattle and horses.
